ROBLOX Says That A BIG Announcement Will Be Made This Month

ROBLOX tweeted on Twitter that a big announcement will be made, and that there is so much to look forward to in the future of the platform. Some people started to speculate that it will be to do with BLOXY Awards which will be happening sometime this month, or the long awaited ROBLOX on the Playstation 4 announcement. Some people even said that it may be the Winter Games, an event that happened back in 2014, which was surprisingly really fun – my favourite event of all actually!

When I was on the ROBLOX forums, I came across a link that sent me to the ‘Sponsored Event’ presentation that included lots of information on how to get a game sponsored by massive corporations, along with lots of other information on sponsored events. Strangely, ROBLOX had also put a table with all the events that will be happening this year in 2017. This presentation was done for developers at RDC (ROBLOX Developers Conference), but I am not entirely sure if it was a presented slideshow – this may have been an unused slideshow that someone leaked.

Well, I won’t be giving a link to the slideshow presentation as I don’t want to personally spoil all the events that will be happening this year. So, if you are really curious, you could find the link yourself somewhere on the events section of the forums. I personally don’t want to give away that sort of information as I’ve been debating if I should or not, and then decided that it wasn’t right as ROBLOX may not want it to be revealed as much (maybe it was just for that specific conference).

In this case, the Winter Games will not be happening this month, so I don’t think this will be ROBLOX’s big announcement – ROBLOX usually announces their events on that current month, so I highly doubt that it’s going to be to do with the Winter Games.

Secondly, the announcement may be to do with the BLOXY Awards – maybe the announcement for when the stream is taking place? I think this is most likely as the image that ROBLOX posted on Twitter has red curtains (yes, they used an image from Google haha). The red curtains may be for the BLOXY Awards – it’s going to be at a stage, and a stage has curtains. Boom. Mind blown!

This announcement could also be to do with the Playstation 4 version of ROBLOX that the team is currently working on. I bought my Playstation a month ago for my birthday, so I would honesty be extremely excited if ROBLOX announces it this month. As you may know, I published a blog-post last year to do with ROBLOX coming to the Playstation 4 which got a significant amount of 9,000+ views, that’s crazy!
